adidas x OFFICE Present Café Taekwondo

adidas and OFFICE teamed up for an exclusive event at Covent Garden’s WA Café on July 26th, introducing the Taekwondo Café—a unique fusion of fashion and café culture. From 12 PM to 5:30 PM, guests were treated to adidas-branded cakes, iced drinks, and a first look at the latest adidas Taekwondo sneaker.

The café provided a stylish setting where guests could not only try on the new kicks but also participate in exclusive prize giveaways from OFFICE. With 30-minute time slots, visitors had the perfect opportunity to experience the intersection of style and streetwear culture in an intimate and curated environment. This event was a must-attend for those looking to immerse themselves in the latest adidas drop, all while enjoying a taste of café culture with a fashionable twist.

My Thoughts

The adidas x OFFICE Café was an interesting approach to launching the Taekwondo drop, but I have a few thoughts. While cafés have become popular for brand activations, especially in the summer, I believe there’s potential for brands to curate experiences more closely aligned with the theme of the drop. Given that health is a significant aspect of athletics, a café offering sugary drinks and snacks may not resonate with a health-conscious, athletic demographic. I would like to see brands step out of their comfort zones with these collaborations and create experiences that better speak to the target audience of the product.
